Tupper Pleads Guilty as Charged to 2nd Degree Cruelty to a Juvenile

Today, May 21, Jordan S. Tupper, 25, Sulphur, pled Guilty as Charged to Second Degree Cruelty to a Juvenile after a jury was seated and the State had given its opening statement.
In 2023, Tupper inflicted severe head trauma on the victim, who was four months old at the time of the crime, resulting in life-threatening injuries. The victim required emergency brain surgery and, although they survived, the injuries caused permanent damage that will prevent them from ever living a normal life.
Sentencing for Tupper will be held on July 25th before Judge David Ritchie.
Deputy Chief of Litigation Taylor Alexander and Assistant District Attorneys Sydney Mayeaux and Brooke Smith handled the case for the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office.
