Vice Sentenced to Life for Murder

Today, February 22, Michael E. Vice, 50, Lake Charles was sentenced to life in prison without benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence on one (1) count second degree murder.

In 2018, Vice and his ex-girlfriend were driving down the road when Vice shot his ex-girlfriend in the head with a pistol. Vice then called 911 and stated that she had accidentally shot herself. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. Lake Charles Police Officers arrived on scene and placed Vice under arrest. The investigation revealed that Vice gave multiple versions of the story and the Calcasieu Parish Coroner did confirm that the gunshot wound was a contact shot.

Assistant District Attorneys Conrad Huber and Charles Robinson prosecuted the case for the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office.
