Tonight, November 19th, Jewel D. Humphrey, 32, Lake Charles, was found guilty as charged on one (1) count second degree murder.
In 2019, Humphrey brutally beat his ex-girlfriend and the victim was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Sentencing for Humphrey will be held February 7, 2022 before Judge Derrick Kee.
Assistant District Attorneys Bobby Holmes and Taylor Alexander prosecuted the case for the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office.
