Calcasieu Parish District Attorney Stephen Dwight has been sworn in as District Attorney for Calcasieu Parish and is eager to deliver on the platform that he set during his campaign. After a very successful transition with former District Attorney John DeRosier and his Administration, Mr. Dwight is enthusiastic to get started and implement his plan to keep Calcasieu Parish safe and ensure residents enjoy the quality of life they deserve.
“Our transition team worked tirelessly and were able to put together a great operational structure to tackle the many challenges that lie ahead. Mr. DeRosier’s Administration was more accommodating than we could have asked for. I thank him for that and for his 15 years of service to our great parish. We are ready to hit the ground running and give our parish the service it deserves.” said Mr. Dwight.
In addition to the internal structure of the office, Mr. Dwight and his team met with many other governmental entities, organizations, and representatives of our community in attempt to understand their needs and expectations. They have put together a comprehensive plan to achieve the goals that were identified during the transition process.
