CPDAO will reopen to the Public on May 20, 2020

Beginning Wednesday, May 20, 2020, the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office will reopen to the public.  Hours of operation will resume as normal from 8:30 to 5:00, Monday through Friday.  For those individuals who need to visit the office in person, our temporary, limited hours will be from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.   

 

All visitors will be required to wear a mask prior to accessing any of the common areas of the District Attorney’s office. Our lobby areas will be open, however social distancing protocols will be maintained.   All CPDAO employees who come in contact with the public will also be required to wear a mask for protection.  Visitors will be subject to a temperature check prior to entering any restricted area of the office.  We strongly encourage the public to phone in or utilize electronic communications, when possible.  You may also email our COVID-19 help desk at HELP@CPDAO.ORG if you have a question and are unable to reach our office. 

 

As a reminder:

·        All tickets with court dates that were scheduled from March 16 to April 27,  will be rescheduled.   You will receive a letter in the mail. If your address has changed, please call the traffic division with a change of address.  

·       All individuals enrolled in PreTrial diversion or Misdemeanor Probation will be contacted regarding your next appointment.  You may call your case manager with any questions 

·       Criminal court date appearances will vary depending upon the division.  Please check with your attorney or division for court appearances beginning May 18, 2020.
