Lan Le Convicted of Second Degree Cruelty to a Juvenile

On May 7, 2014 Judge Ron Ware found Lan Le guilty of one count of Second Degree Cruelty to a Juvenile. Le was convicted of the charge after a two-year-old in her custody received third-degree burns to his legs. The incident occurred in September of 2011.

Judge Ware ordered a Pre-Sentencing Investigation (PSI) and set sentencing for September 10, 2014 at 10:00 a.m.

The investigation was a joint effort between several detectives of the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, with Lieutenant Michael Primeaux serving as the lead in the case.

Assistant District Attorney Shunette Thomas-Jordan prosecuted the case for the Severe Child Abuse Division of the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office with the help of Assistant District Attorney Lori Nunn.
