On July 27, 2012, Judge Ron Ware sentenced Bryce Perkins to life in the Louisiana Department of Corrections without the benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence. In February 2011, a jury found Perkins guilty of Second Degree Murder in the 2009 shooting death of Daniel Gueringer. Assistant District Attorney Rick Bryant prosecuted the case.
