Wannage Sentenced for Pornography of Juveniles
Last week, George Wannage, 29, Iowa, pled guilty to four (4) counts of pornography involving juveniles. He was sentenced to 10 years prison with each count to run concurrent. Marlin Demouchet, 43, Lake Charles, was found guilty of three (3) counts of sexual battery of a victim under 13, one (1) count of attempted sexual battery of a victim under 13, one (1) count simple escape. Sentencing for Demouchet will be held July 7, 2021, before Judge Robert Wyatt. Bartie found guilty as charged
Friday night, a Calcasieu Parish Jury found El Jerico Bartie, Lake Charles, guilty as charged on 8 counts attempted first degree murder of a police officer. Bartie faced trial for the second time for a standoff at a hotel in 2014. Sterling sentenced for manslaughter
After pleading guilty to manslaughter, J’Vonte Sterling, 19, Lake Charles, was sentenced today by Judge Clayton Davis to 20 years Department of Corrections without benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence. In 2019, Sterling was arrested for a shooting that occurred on Legion St. that caused the victim to succumb to his injuries.
