Due to the mandatory evacuation order of Calcasieu Parish and for the safety and best interest of our employees, the Calcasieu Parish District Attorneys Office will be closed Thursday, October 8 and Friday, October 9. We encourage everyone to heed the advice of officials and take proper action to keep yourself and your family safe. Our thoughts are with all of you.

REOPENING - We will be returning to operations on Monday, October 5, 2020. Due to damage to the building and remediation still ongoing, the office will not be open to the public on Monday, October 5 and Tuesday, October 6. During that time, employees will be able to assist the public via phone calls. The main line is 437-3400. We anticipate a public opening on Wednesday, October 7 for in person assistance. Beginning Wednesday, May 20, 2020, the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office will reopen to the public. Hours of operation will resume as normal from 8:30 to 5:00, Monday through Friday. For those individuals who need to visit the office in person, our temporary, limited hours will be from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
