TRIAD

The TRIAD program was created to establish and operate a local senior crime prevention initiative on behalf of the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office, Calcasieu Parish Police Jury, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office and AARP. This cooperative endeavor was implemented to reduce the victimization of senior citizens. TRIAD sponsors seminars and workshops that deal with issues facing senior citizens. It also reaches out to seniors who live alone to reduce their fear and increase their peace of mind. Individuals fifty-five (55) or older can volunteer with TRIAD to organize workshops, man booths at health fairs, or become involved in neighborhood watch programs.
