HURRICANE IKE INFORMATION

 

1.  The District Attorney's Office will be closed Friday, September 12, 2008 due to Hurricane Ike--Russ

 

2.Update-1010 hours, Saturday, September 13. As of 0900 the

    DA Office has power and the building has no damage. Our email

    service was taken off line. Wind is still gusting and we do not

    expect them to subside until later this afternoon.--Russ

 

3.  Update 3:32 PM, Saturday, September 13.  Those who have evacuated can return.  You may not have electricity.  Those who live in areas that are subject to flooding should use caution.  The surge with this hurricane was equal to or above Hurricane Rita.  There are limited businesses open and there is still a curfew.  You must be traveling directly to your home.  You should not be driving after dark.  Power lines and trees are still on some parish roadways. We will evaluate the situation Sunday and advise about operations for Monday--Russ

 

4.  Update 4:55 PM, Saturday, September 13.  The District Attorney's Office will be closed on Monday, September 15th.  Normal operations will resume on Tuesday, September 16th.
