DeRosier Swears in New Assistant District Attorney

A new Assistant District Attorney recently joined the staff at the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney's Office. District Attorney John DeRosier recently swore in James Sudduth, III.


Sudduth is a native of Lake Charles, Louisiana where he attended St. Louis High School. After graduation he went on to attend Louisiana State University where he majored in Finance and minored in Spanish. Upon graduation from LSU, he went on to LSU Law School.

 

While in Law School, he received the CALI award for the highest grade in Louisiana Constitutional Law Seminar. He also won the Ira S. Flory Competition, which is a mock trial competition held amongst fellow law students. He participated in numerous trial advocacy and moot court teams that traveled to compete for LSU.


Sudduth will serve as a Misdemeanor Assistant District Attorney.
