District Attorney John DeRosier has added a new Assistant District Attorney to his staff.
Brittany Elizabeth Bell is a proud native of Lake Charles, LA. Upon graduating from LaGrange Senior High School in 2006, she attended McNeese State University and obtained a Bachelor's
Degree in Sociology in 2009. Bell then pursued a Juris Doctor at Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, LA. While in law school, Brittany was a legal writing teaching assistant for
first-year law students and served as a student Juvenile Attorney during her third year. She became a licensed attorney in October 2012. Prior to her employment with the District Attorney's
Office, Bell was a judicial law clerk for Judge David Ritchie of the Fourteenth Judicial District Court.
Bell will serve as a Misdemeanor Assistant District Attorney.
