On June 27, 2013, Judge Kent Savoie sentenced Jon Dickerson to life in prison without the benefit of probation, parole or suspension after a jury found him guilty of killing a man in March of 2009. Dickerson was found guilty of second degree murder on June 24, 2013.
His life sentence with hard labor will be served with the Louisiana Department of Corrections.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney David Kimball for the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office with the assistance of Assistant District Attorney Brett Sandifer.
