Montgomery Sentenced to 30 Years in Prison

On April 1, 2013, Judge Clayton Davis sentenced Kenneth Montgomery to 30 years in the Department of Corrections for cocaine distribution. Montgomery was found guilty by a jury on January 11, 2013 of two counts of Distribution of CDS II (Cocaine).  Judge Davis sentenced Montgomery to 30 years in prison on each count, to run concurrent.

 

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Brett Gaspard for the Combined Anti-Drug Task-force Division of the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney's Office. The State also filed a Habitual Offender Bill, which Montgomery is denying. A hearing for the denial is set for April 17, 2013.
