Donald McDaniel Sentenced to Twenty Years

On May 21, 2012, Donald McDaniel, previously of Westlake, entered guilty pleas to six (6) counts of Theft over $1,500. Judge Clayton Davis accepted his guilty plea and ordered a Pre-Sentence Investigation. On July 27, 2012, Judge Davis sentenced McDaniel to ten (10) years on each of the first four (4) counts to run concurrently and ten (10) years on the last two (2) counts to run consecutively, for a total of twenty (20) years in the Louisiana Department of Corrections. Assistant District Attorney Jonathan Blake prosecuted the case. McDaniel defrauded his victims into paying him for mobile home trailers that he did not own.
